The GLOBAL CLUB INTERNATIONAL is a charitable organization registered with the British Charity Commission (Registration No. 1073856). It has been formed as a global unit to help develop the standard of living of the Muslims in particular and humanity in general. The aim is to provide welfare services and focus on development of religious and social responsibilities with emphasis on education, cleanliness and hygiene. CONSTITUTION OF THE GLOBAL CLUB INTERNATIONAL ARTICLE I: NAME: The club shall be called “GLOBAL CLUB INTERNATIONAL” ARTICLE II: The club shall operate as a trust (under the trust deed of 01 December 1998) registered by the British Charity Commission-Registration no. 1073856. Aims and objectives: 1. To improve the quality of Muslims. 2. To advance the education of Muslims with special attention to the youth. 3. To mobilize the Muslim Youth towards social welfare and self-improvement. ARTICLE III: MEANS OF ACTION: “The Caring Community”. Spreading the blessings of Allah. Those who have been blessed will help those who are less fortunate; those who have the talent will teach it to others, relieve someone suffering with that talent or service. ARTICLE IV: MEMBERSHIP: Members shall consist of God-fearing individuals ready to volunteer services for the sake of humanity. ARTICLE V: Section I. The officers shall be: International Unit: · A Chairman, · A Vice-Chairman, · A Secretary General, · Three Asst-Secretary Generals · A Treasurer · Any other position as needed. The International unit will be responsible for inviting national and world-wide participation through membership and initiation of activities and generation of funds, with emphasis on education and training of the youth; offer financial, medical and psychological assistance to all members of the family so the youth will grow and develop in a healthy atmosphere. Section II. National Unit (Country): Administration of the National unit will comprise of · A Director General, · An Administrative Officer, · A Counselor · An Activity Organizer. The National unit will be responsible for the study and research of the need of the people as emphasized in the trust deed. The National offices will be monitored regulated by the Head Office situated in London, U.K. The National unit shall invite membership and initiate activities to raise funds to promote activities. The financial reports must be sent to the International unit bi-annually- by 31st January and 31st July every year. Section III. Regional Units (Local-within country): Administration of the Regional unit will comprise of · A Administrative Officer, · A Researcher and Counselor · An Activity organizer. The regional unit shall be responsible for the promotion of the membership of the ‘haves and the have-nots. It shall inform the public about the purpose of the Global Club and initiate activities to fulfill the purpose. This will require preparation of questionnaires, survey and case study programmes and fieldwork, so that those who are willing and capable maybe channeled to help those in need. Section IV. The officers of the International unit shall be selected to office by the decision of two-thirds of the members of the Board of Trustees. Section V. The officers of the National and Regional unit shall be elected to office by members/selected to office based on merit by the Officers of the International Unit. Section VI. The Officers of the International Unit shall hold office as long as the Board of Trustees deems it necessary. Section VII. The officers of the National and Regional Unit shall be elected/selected to office for a term of two years unless any situation arises which may make earlier dismissal a necessity. ARTICLE VI: MEETINGS Meetings shall be held twice a year. Emergency meetings may be called anytime of the year. ARTICLES VII: AMENDMENTS Amendments to the constitution may be made by two-thirds of the members of the Board of Trustees. BY LAWS ARTICLE I: DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS a) INTERNATIONAL UNIT: Section 1: *CHAIRMAN: -CEO of the Club. Shall be overall in charge of the Club. -Call Meeting to order -Announce activities of the Club -State motions and put them to vote --Guide members in following correct procedures Section 2: *VICE-CHAIRMAN: Ø -Shall be in charge of overall administration and the projects of the Club. Ø -He shall preside in the absence of the Chairman Section 3: *SECRETARY-GENERAL: Ø -Shall be in charge of finance and financial administration Ø -Keep record of Club’s activities Ø -Read the minutes of the previous meeting Ø -Has at hand a copy of the constitution and by-laws Ø -Assist in arrangement of Club activities Section 4: *ASST-SECRETARY GENERAL: Ø -Shall be in charge of advertising and promotion of the club’s projects Section 5: *ASST-SECRETARY GENERAL FOR RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Ø -Shall be in charge of projects of the Club pertaining to Research, Education and Training Section 6: *ASST-SECRETARY GENERAL FOR COMMUNICATION AND LIASON: Ø -Shall be in charge for Communication and Liaison with other organizations to promote cooperation with them in various projects of the Club. Section 7: TREASURER: Ø -Collect dues and fees on time Ø -Hold the funds of the Club Ø -Pays all Club’s bills Ø -Keep the accounts of the Club in order Ø -Report regularly of the Club’s financial condition b) NATIONAL UNIT: Section 1:DIRECTOR GENERAL: Ø Shall be in charge of the National unit in his/her country. The Director General shall report to the International Unit on all activities and financial matters. Section 2: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: Ø Shall be in charge of the administrative side of the club. He/She will assist the Director General in the administration of the National Unit. Section 3: COUNCELLOR: Ø Shall be responsible for counseling service of the Club at the National Unit. Section 3: ACTIVITY ORGANIZER: Ø Shall be responsible for arranging activities of the Club in his/her country for generation revenue and promotion of the Club to individuals and organizations. c)REGIONAL UNIT: Section 1: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: Ø Shall be responsible for the day to day running of the Regional unit in his country. He/She shall report regularly to the Director General on activities and financial matters. Section 2: RESEARCHER/COUNCELLOR: Ø Shall be responsible in Researching into the needs of the regional area in terms of education, humanitarian aid and projects, which can be undertaken to promote these two areas. He/She shall also be a counselor for individuals who need counseling in the regional area. Section 3: ACTIVITY ORGANIZER: Ø Shall be responsible for arranging activities of the Club in his region for generation of revenue and promotion of the Club to individuals and organizations. ARTICLE II: NEW MEMBERS Members shall only be accepted if they display interest in and show their potentials/abilities in the aims and objectives of the GLOBAL CLUB INTERNATIONAL. ARTICLE III: DUES AND FEES 1. U.K., Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the Arabian Gulf: a. Individuals: £15.00 per annum b. Business: £50.00 per annum c. Students, Pensioners and those on welfare: £10.00 per annum 2. Asia, Africa, South America, East Europe Others: a. Individuals: £ 2.00 b. Business: £20.00 c. Students: £ 1.00 ARTICLE IV: QUORUM A quorum of at least 75% of votes shall be required during meetings of Officers or members in order to pass vote on motions and activities. ARTICLE V: FINAL AUTHORITY The final authority of the GLOBAL CLUB INTERNATIONAL shall rest with the Board of Trustees. RULES FOR MEMBERS AND OFFICERS OF THE GLOBAL CLUB INTERNATIONAL v Members shall only be accepted if they display interest in and show potentials/abilities in the aims and objectives of the Global Club International. v Members should be energetic and participate with enthusiasm in all activities. v Meeting of members are to be held as often as possible, at least twice a month. v Membership fees will be collectable from all members (See membership fees sheet) v The decision of the Board of Trustees is final and members must comply and all members must comply. v Members of the Board of Trustees reserve the right to correct the officers in case of ineffective policy, and members may suggest to the Board of Trustees, means of improvement. v Members and officers must be punctual at all meetings and activities (without exception) v Discipline must be observed at all times amongst the members. Violation may be punishable by a minimum penalty of a fine or by expulsion from the Club; in both cases, after a majority decision of the membership and concurrence of the Board of Trustees. v Members must cooperate with one another at all times; and freedom must be extended to all to express views freely. v Officers should take care not to abuse their positions and office by engaging in activities that may tarnish the reputation of the officers and the club. v Officers must at all time be friendly, tactful, conciliatory, even amusing depending on the occasion. v Officers must deal with fairness to all, and should not allow personal prejudices to govern their attitude/action. They must “remember their facts, not their prejudices”. v Officers must not be stubborn and should not concede their initial positions, should opposing views appear to be right. The bottom line is: cooperation towards success of the Club. v Officers must me well versed in all-important facts concerning the aims and objectives and the projects of the Club. v Officers must punctually send reports of activities whenever they are due.
